The Highlights:

 Remote Debugging from IntelliJ

You can now start a remote debugging session directly from IntelliJ.
This allows you to fully control remote devices while accessing the same device as if it was connected via USB.

 Additional New Features

 Reports Page -  Now, when clicking on a test name, the video report will immediately open for a better user experience 

 Selenium - Rest API - Unify the response of Web Control API in a Multi-region cloud

 Appium Grid - We have improved the execution speed of automated tests via code optimizations on the server-side

 iOS Alerts ManagementWe allow cloud admin to configure custom rules that will define how the alerts are handled. 

 Appium Server (OSS) - Android - We have improved the session start time for Appium OSS executions

 Device Reservations Rest API - Add New Reservation - Cloud Admin and Project Admin can now use API to better manage and automate the device reservations in their project

Notes and Known Issues

    • Please review the updated System Requirements
    • From 21.11 (Nov 2021) we will no longer support the deployment of Device Host Machine on Windows OS - We recommend to start planning your purchase plan and replace all Windows DHM's with MacOS DHM's before 21.11
    • In case you would like to support Appium Server open source in your cloud, please contact
    • From 21.6 we will no longer support Windows Server 2012 (For all cloud components)
    • From 21.6 we will no longer support macOS Mojave for DHM and EHM
    • High Sierra OS is no longer supported for Selenium Agents and Device Host Machine.

 Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Manual and automated testing with old Microsoft Edge (that is not based on chromium) is now deprecated
  • Allow using apple developer accounts that have different App IDs from their Team Identifier - Fixed

  • Grid - CurrentApplicationName is shown as springboard even when App is present on the device screen - Fixed

  • Grid - Commands with path argument fails with file not exists in session error (Windows DHM) - Fixed

  • Provisioning Profile Generation Tool - Now supports upload-mobile-provision command - Fixed

  • Region Page UI - Move to the new design

  • Device Restrictions - RDB restriction applies also on Cloud Admin instead of just on Users and Project Admins - Fixed
