iOS provision profiles can be managed in the Cloud Web UI.
Multiple provision profiles can be imported and managed only to users with a Cloud Administrator role.
How to add profiles to the cloud server:
Step 1: Go to More → Provision Profile.
List of all imported provision profiles is displayed on the page.
To add a provisioning profile by uploading a .developeprofile or .def file process to step 2.
If you wish to add a provisioning profile by uploading a .p12 file, a .mobileprovision file and supplying a password, skip steps 2a-4a and instead perform step 2b-4b below.
Step 2a: Click the 'Add' button, and in the File Type selection drop-down, select either "DEF File" or "Developer Profile" as applicable.
Step 3a: Choose the provision profile file with one of the following extensions:
- Type "Developer Profile" (file with ".developerprofile" extension) → requires profile password
- Type "DEF File" (file with ".def" extension) → does not require additional password.
When the "developer profile" file is chosen, a password field is displayed:
Step 4a: Enter the password and click the 'Apply' button.
Users can import a single provisioning profile and a developer certificate from a ".developerprofile" file, or they can import all files and certificates.
To import a single provisioning profile:
- Select a provisioning profile
- Select a certificate
- Click "Import Profile"
To import all profiles and certificates:
- Check "Import all of the mobile provisioning files and developer certificates from the developer profile account"
- Click "Import Profile"
List of imported provision profiles is displayed on the page.
Note: Devices that are contained within the imported provision profile are displayed when clicking on the provision profile line.
Step 2b: Click the 'Add' button, and in the File Type selection drop-down, select "P12 & Mobile Provisioning".
Step 3b: In the dialog that opens, select the two files (with .p12 and .mobileprovision extension), and enter the associated password:
Step 4b: After you click "Apply" the files will be uploaded and the new provision profile will appear in the table:
Step 5: To delete the provisioning profile, choose a profile and click 'Delete'. (this step is relevant for Windows Cloud Server, the explanation for MAC is bellow)
A confirmation dialog will be displayed.
You can select multiple profiles using the Ctrl ( control ) key.
Step 6: Click 'Delete'.
Provision profile will disappear from the table.
A device without provision profiles appears with an error status in the cloud web UI and in the cloud devices table in See Test.
Cloud iOS devices can be used only in the non-instrumented mode in SeeTest.
How to support prefix provision profile in cloud server:
At the cloudserver.conf.xml file add the tag below with the required value, save the file and restart the cloud server
How to prevent the cloud server from signing enterprise applications:
By default, a cloud will sign enterprise\distribution applications, to stop that- at the cloudserver.conf.xml file add the tag below with the required value, save the file and restart the cloud server
Note: Ad-Hoc applications will not be signed (only if the device is listed in the provisioning profile of the application).
How to delete provision profiles from MAC cloud server:
It is not possible to delete provision profiles from MAC cloud server via the cloud web UI.
Deleting is required through user and root (superuser)
- Go to the Provisioning Profiles folder location:
Users->Experitest->Library->MobileDevice-> Provisioning Profiles
- Delete desired profiles.
- Open terminal
- Type: sudo su
- Type: cd ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning\ Profiles/
- Type 'ls' for displaying existing profiles.
- Type rm * for deleting the desired profile.
