The Highlights:

 Cypress supports dependency management

With 21.11 version, Continuous Testing supports Cypress framework* for testing web apps.
In this version, you can manage the dependencies of your cypress project as part of its REST API request parameters.
Read more about this feature here.

*Cypress Support is available only in SaaS clouds.

Notes and Known Issues

  • Due to JetBrains security requirements, our IntelliJ Plugin now only supports versions 2020.1.4 and above.

  • Video recording on browser manual sessions are not recorded properly
  • Chrome 96 version is supported only in macOS BigSur and later.

 Mobile/Web Studio - Skins for Galaxy S21 were updated

 Appium version - we now support 1.22.1 version of Appium server

 RDB - Support added for macOS Monterey with notarization.

Important Notes and Known Issues

  • With 21.11 version, we no longer support the deployment of Device Host Machine on Windows OS
  • We now support macOS Monterey for DHMs
  • If you want to support Appium Server open source in your cloud, please contact
  • Since 21.7, all cloud components are using Java JRE OpenJDK instead of Oracle JRE, the JRE will be installed automatically as part of installation/upgrade process.

 Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Regression - Cloud - Can't run test on a device that is opened already - FIXED
  • Browsers - Manual Reports - visual indication when the recording is in progress - ADDED.
  • Browsers - Manual Session - Unable to enter special characters in Safari and Firefox - FIXED.
  • iOS - Cleanup - Web cache is not cleared for iOS Devices configured with MDM - FIXED.
  • Huawei P9 - Cleanup flow is improved.
  • Android - Improvements on screenshoter mechanism
  • Regression - Test failures due to no internet access for DHMs and SeleniumAgents - FIXED.
  • iOS - App crash while injecting QR code with iOS 14 and above devices in specific app- FIXED

 Next Release and Important Announcements

  • Due date*:  31.01.2022 (or prior)
  • Starting March 2022, Internet Explorer will no longer be supported for desktop-browser testing.
