This section will feature the following device actions that can be managed by a project administrator.

A project administrator can also manage the device through Devices Rest API.

Click Devices from the side menu, to navigate to the devices page.

Reserve a Device

Step 1: Select the device you wish to reserve.

To reserve multiple devices, hold the 'Ctrl' key and select the devices you wish to reserve.

Step 2: Click Reserve.

The reserve devices popup window will be opened.

Step 3: Select the reservation period.

Step 4:  Select the project.

This option is only available for "Cloud admin".


Step 5:  Select the user from the selected project. If "Reserve for me" is checked, the device will be reserved for the current user.

This option is only available for "Cloud admin" & "Project admin".


Step 6:
Add reservation notes if required.

Step 7: Click Reserve.

The success message is displayed on the screen after the reservation.

Release a Device

Step 1: Select the device you wish to release.

To reserve multiple devices, hold the Ctrl key and select the devices you wish to reserve.

Step 2: Click Release.

Step 3: Click 'Release'.

View the reservations of a Device

Step 1: Click on "Devices" in the sidebar menu to navigate to devices page.

Step 2: Open the submenu (3 dots) and click on Reservations.

"Device Reservations" page will show current and future reservations from all devices, from all projects and users.

To see the details of a reservation, select a reservation and click on Info

Remove reservations:

In order to remove one or more reservation(s) - Select the reservations that are needed to be removed and  click on Cancel reservation(s).

The Cancel Reservation(s) button is only enabled once one or more reservations are selected.

After clicking the Cancel Reservation(s) button, a dialog appears to confirm the action.

  • Note that deleting current reservation has the same effect as a device release action, this will be displayed in the dialog as well as with an 'Ongoing' notification, and a info message that the cancellation will release the device in the end.

release the device. Clicking on the Cancel Reservations button will cancel the reservation, followed by a green toaster confirming the deletion.

Create new reservation:

Reservation can also be made from View Reservation page.

  1. Click New Reservation button. This will open New Reservation window. 
  2. Add devices to be reserved by clicking Add Device button

Clicking Add Device will open another window, where all the online devices assigned to the project will be displayed. Multiple devices can be reserved together.

Select the desired devices and click Select.

The selected devices will be displayed in the New Reservation window. The Reservation time can be selected by clicking From and To button. A project admin can create Reservation for self or for any user assigned to the project

The user can be selected from the User dropdown.

If any of the selected device is already reserved, it will be shown in red in the reservation window. Reservation can't be made if the device is reserved for some other user. Such device needs to be removed from the selection in order to continue reservation.

Finally Click Reserve button to complete reservation. If reservation is successful,  a green toast with confirming message is displayed.

Edit the Device details

Step 1: Select the device you wish to edit.

Step 2: Click Edit.

Step 3: Edit the required details.

Step 4: Click Save.

The edited details of the device will be displayed in the device info panel in the Device Lab.

Step 5: Select the device you edited.

Step 6: Click the Info icon.

Reset USB Connection

Cloud and project administrators can reset the USB connection of the cloud device.

There are a few conditions that have to be met to reset a USB connection:

Step 1: Select the device line for which the USB connection has to be reset.

Step 2: Click Reset USB Connection.

This will disconnect the device from power for a second and then will reconnect the device back.

Reboot Device

Cloud and project administrators can reboot the device from Cloud Web Portal.

Step 1: Select the device to reboot.

Step 2: Click on the button with three dots.

Step 3: Click Reboot Device.

If any of the selected devices are not in 'Available' status, the button will not be enabled.


Download Device List

Cloud and project administrators can download the device list from Cloud Web Portal.

Step 1: Navigate to Device Lab. (Click Devices from the side menu)

Step 2: Click the button with three dots.

Step 3: Click Download Device List.

A detailed report of the devices will be downloaded in the csv format.
